Ergonomics and ease of use are not options for medical teams
When it was released in 2006, STERIS’ Cmax-T operating table was quickly hailed for its unique concept in powered transfer. A global player in healthcare and the leading name in the US surgical table market, STERIS did much more than simply create a new surgical table. It completely retooled the concept of patient transfer and opened up new possibilities in operating theatre organisation.
Far from resting on its laurels, STERIS has now made the Cmax-T table even better. The new generation of the Cmax-T offers never-before-seen ease of use and is designed with everyone in mind, offering exceptional ergonomics that benefit both patients and medical teams.
Designed for patients
The new Cmax-T table guarantees unsurpassed safety during patient transfers by eliminating the need for gurneys and carts. What is more, patients can be held in a desired position during transfers to and from the operating theatre, thereby contributing to the effectiveness of local and regional anaesthesia. Lastly, with a capacity of up to 270 kg (500 kg centred on the column), the
Cmax-T accommodates even the heaviest patients!
Enthusiastic users
The Cmax-T is a breakthrough because it simplifies patient flow management to the fullest extent. No longer are patient transfers dangerous or hospital corridors cluttered with carts and gurneys. The Cmax-T features automatic direction of transfer detection, emergency stop and rear collision protection, a new Bluetooth™ remote control with colour screen and intuitive function selection, position memory, and full 360° rotation. You don’t push the Cmax-T, you steer it! The STERIS T-Drive handlebar makes patient transfers easy, effortless and stress-free.
The Cmax-T allows medical teams to concentrate on what they do best: listening to and caring for patients.
Ergonomics for surgeons
Thanks to its remarkable versatility, the Cmax-T allows comfortable working positions for every surgical speciality. It can be placed in the best position for each procedure, thereby making it possible to easily reconfigure operating theatres to any procedure. Let’s hear it for customisation! The extremely long slide of the table (454 mm) provides excellent access for radiology equipment and by the surgical team.
With ease of use comes peace of mind. The dual backup system makes it possible to operate the table via the control panel on the column or to override the hydraulics in the event of a power failure during a procedure.
The Cmax-T’s "little" sister, the Cmax-S, offers the same features in terms of positioning and functionality, but without powered transfer.
