Official inauguration by Princess Sofia at Södertälje Hospital (‘STS’) Stockholm, Sweden
Princess Sofia of Sweden inaugurated on Thursday 9th March a new hospital located in the county of Stockholm
Princess Sofia was mobilized for the Swedish crown. The wife of Prince Carl Philip of Sweden went to the New Södertälje Hospital. The young woman had a mission to inaugurate this brand new hospital to the population of the southwestern part of Stockholm County.
To mark the official opening of this new place of care, several speeches were delivered under an external tent. 200 persons were invited to participate to this opening. Princess Sofia of Sweden spoke last and then cut the ribbon. The sister-in-law of the Princesses Victoria and Madeleine made a visit of the building which led her to the emergency and radiology departments, the operating theatre and the maternity ward (all these departments equipped with STERIS products).
STERIS was invited by Michael Gardebäck (the Director of the operating theatre) to the opening (Jean-Marie Poussot, Vincent Duvernois, Eloi Maurice and Karine Thiboeuf) together with our Swedish dealer, Diaspec, Fredrik Nyquist.
The chief nurse of the operating room and the anaesthesist chief nurse made a presentation of the operating room only equipped with STERIS products. Princess Sofia showed a great interest for the state-of-the art operating room and asked the 2 nurses a few questions. This visit was also a good opportunity for STERIS team to meet some customers from other hospitals of the city.
