A NEW OPERATIONAL ADVANTAGE WITH HARMONY® LED
As part of its development project, the Charcot Clinic has just fitted three of its operating
rooms with the STERIS HARMONY® LED surgical lighting and visualisation system.
The head of surgery, Cécile Hector, says it is a new advantage for the surgical teams.
“We previously used traditional halogen bulb lamps. The light from the Harmony LED lightheads is significantly better: it is more natural, whiter and more pleasant” she told us.
The added advantage also includes the introduction of a camera and a flat screen enabling the team to monitor the operation and therefore provide better surgical care. So, “by placing a screen on each side, the assistant can help the surgeon effectively without having to tie themselves in knots”. Accommodating all current video standards and with its modular design, the LED Harmony visualisation system is a very progressive system. It is very easy to add an additional light, camera or screen.
The LED Harmony has also received praise for its user friendliness.
“Cleaning is easy as the surfaces are very smooth and all of our cleaning products can be used on them. Handling is simple and adjustment is intuitive. Our surgical teams quickly adopted this new lighting system.”
“ Thanks to the screen, everyone can follow the operation, which is particularly useful in terms of medical training. It is also an excellent information and video conferencing tool ”
